The hotel was greatly located right at the beach. There were excellent views to the Diamond Head and the Pacific Ocean. The pool was very nice, and the view was gorgeous. The lobby was neat and convenient. The staff from the receptionists to the cleaning ladies and storage workers was very friendly, relaxed and helpful. We didn´t want cleaning every day so we just placed the Don´t disturb card, and it worked fine with the cleaning staff. There was an ABC store in the same building, which was awfully helpful. You could fetch medicine, snacks and souvenirs in no time. The rooms were quite small but convenient with microwaves and coffee makers. All in all, the hotel was a great worth for money, and I would recommend it to anyone!
The air-condinitioning worked but it smelled of mold. The room was cool and airy anyways, so we didn´t need it. The cleaning staff´s storage room was right next to our room, so the door banging started in the morning, and it disturbed a little. Even though it was a non-smoking hotel, some hotel guests did smoke, and the smoke entered our room through the balcony or the hallway.
staff and location
not real modern or clean
The ocean view and close to a park and the beach.Friendly staff.
Rooms could stand a "'face lift'"
Excellent staff and a great view over looking the beach and Diamond Head
I would like laundry facilites available to do your own laundry.
Great location, budget accomadation. Restaurant very handy and food great. Poor facilities.
The location was very good on the beach front. The hotels valet staff were very prompt and the room had a great view over the ocean. The hotel also had a great bar on the 1st floor which come alive at night.
Rooms could do with a bit of an update.
convenient location to get to Waikiki. nice Japanese restaurant in this hotel lobby.
white curtain in room very dirty. we stayed in room 822
location to the beach - literally across the road
hotel is really dated - needs a bit of a revamp, old furniture, old carpet, very old bathrooms.
My hotel room was above luandry const.which I complained about nothing was done.My room smelled, carpet was stained,Mold in the shower,Drapes had holes in them.
It was a very comfortable stay at Park Shore, great room ,very comfortable bed , great ocean view room , staff very friendly . At a reasonable price ...not budget but not luxury either. Would stay at Park Shore again .if we got the same room..
No point in dwelling on negatives , we had a great 14 night stay at Park Shore. And we will be going back to Honolulu in 2013 in september.
I liked the proximity to the beach I liked the free wifi in lobby,
The renovations - it was quite loud during the day. Also more pillows on the bed would have been good. Perhaps room service could start a bit later? Like I was still in my room at 9am when it came round one day. Started using my do not disturb sign after thst
Good location for the beach. Stores and restaurants
Too many homeless people on the Main St. Turn off to touriststs. Too busy at that end. Parking is crazy(if you can park)The hotel needs an upgrade. The outlet in the bathroom did not work.
Very good Hotel straight at Waikiki Beach and next to the Zoo. Perfect location, bus stop direct at Hotel. Very nice and helpfull staff and clean moderate room. Elevators were quick and the pool was nice. Price quality ratio are perfect
Bad internet connection by free Wifi. But Starbucks is at the corner and works better.
Location was convenient to the beach and park, and price was reasonable (for Waikiki). We were upgraded to an ocean view room, so had a nice view of the beach and park form the balcony.
Room was small, kind of cramped with two people (king bed). But, somewhat to be expected from an older hotel. Not many plugs (had to unplug a lamp to charge my cell phone)
Price was great. Location was even better. Views amazing. And situated by Lulus, ABC Store & Starbucks made us very happy :). Easy access to east, north shore hwy too. Comfy beds
Didnt like that you were touching the toilet when you used the sink, got ready etc
